In addition, we provide general advice and guidance to financial institutions regarding risk, regulatory and related matters.

Business and Corporate Law
Whether a simple limited liability company, corporation, or homeowners’ association, our attorneys can help choose and implement an appropriate business organization. We also assist our clients with maintenance filings, real estate and commercial transactions, and general matters such as contract drafting and negotiating.

Business & Creditor Litigation
We represent businesses in litigation involving commercial transactions, including asset collection, commercial and consumer foreclosures and loan workouts, as well as more general business disputes involving shareholder conflicts and contract disputes.

Real Estate, Land Use & Zoning
Our attorneys represent clients in real estate sales and acquisitions, in real estate development, residential and commercial leases, landlord/tenant disputes including evictions, condominium creation and condo association representation, and real estate litigation including title disputes. We also provide representation in front of municipalities in land use and zoning matters.

Real Estate Litigation
Our combined focus in the areas of lending, real estate and litigation allows us to provide expert services to clients faced with real estate disputes. We represent clients in disputes involving both commercial and consumer real estate. Matters include disputes over purchase and sale agreements, suits over breach of deed and mortgage covenants and conditions, title disputes, boundary claims, scope and breadth of easements, quiet title actions, foreclosures, evictions, condominium litigation and land use and zoning appeals.

Estate Planning and Probate
Our attorneys have many years of experience drafting wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives and other instruments relating to estate planning. We also frequently represent clients in probate administration before Maine’s probate courts. Such representation includes petitions for the appointment of personal representatives and special administrators, and complete representation throughout the entire probate process.
